So… I’ve decided there are certain battles I choose not to engage in anymore, one being ~ the wardrobe!
I have resorted to lovingly referring to my girl as Little Miss Frankenstien. So anyway I bought her some super cute one piece romper-like outfits that I would wear everyday given it would be cutting edge fashion for a slightly “fluffy” adult to be wearing a romper /unitard /whatever:) Well, I thought “there’s no way she could make this ONE PIECE outfit look akward”… wait, scratch that, sure she can!
Enter into evidence exhibit A:
Oh, and notice her full cooperation with the photographer, yeah, that’s me!

These were taken about a month ago and I am just now getting to posting a few, but look how cute my little man is… his chin just makes my heart melt into a little puddle!

Time is just flying by at lightning speed these days! I am in awe everyday that I look at my gang, especially to see my youngest hitting milestones that I thought I had ages until we were hitting… like sitting up. Granted, he falls over within a few seconds, but at our last Dr visit she casually asked if he was sitting up yet ~ I kind of chuckled and when I realized she was serious, I was a bit embarrassed that I had no idea! He has spent the last 4+ months laying on his back, belly and sitting in a swing. Needless to say, I felt like lazy Mom McGee!!! So, when we got home I promptly sat him on his tushie and low and behold, he sat there unassisted for about 10 seconds. So I started to think… when were Halle & Cole sitting? Halle sat super early at about 4 months, but that was only because she was so chunky, she couldn’t fall over! Cole was about 6 months. Bruce is officially out of the newbie stage {Whaaaaaa!} Here he is from yesterday.

I didn’t realize that he looked like casper until I saw him next to my Hallebear. Poor fella is practically see through for crying out loud:)

Have I mentioned lately that I {heart} chunky babies?

Have a great weekend, and give your babies big hugs & kisses!

So I was looking at a few pics that I took in the backyard of the kids blowing bubbles and I came across this shot of Halle and Cole. At first glance, I thought… ” Oh look, Halle is doing a great job”… Then look a bit closer at Cole…

Yeah, that looks like some Karate going on back there huh? Well, Cole has been VERY into Karate! Nope, no formal training ~ but I tell ya, that kid can REALLY do a great Hi-eeee-YA! Here’s another one:

Ok, here’s where it gets good… He means business here! But allow me to zoom so you can see how serious he is. Watch out Karate kid!

Happy Wednesday!

Yes… my baby is FIVE, count em’ 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 years old this month! I can hardly believe it myself. She is a full fledged grade schooler in Kindergarten and everything. She says things like ” Whatever” which I REALLY hope she learned at school an not from me (I would just die if I heard that come out of my mouth at my age ~ LOL!) My favorite is when she said” “You’re ruining my life” I thought I would never recover from that one. But she also melts my heart when she says things like “mama, you are the best mama” and “mama, you’re so pretty” and when she composes her own songs in the back seat while we are driving ~ she might be a pop star someday! She has been an absolute dream since the day she was born. After countless miscarriages and trips to the doctors we thought we’d NEVER be parents, but after about two years of heartache we were given our miracle Hallebear. I always joke that her strong personality wouldn’t have taken no for an answer, she was bound and determined to make it here and I am just SOOOOO glad that she did ~ I couldn’t possibly have imagined having any other baby girl. So I thought it would be fun to take a look back on her first five years. I could spend weeks going through pictures, but I can’t wait that long, so here goes…

Now, I know I have said that Halle was quite the chunker, but I’m not sure that does justice to the scale of her chunkiness…

Now here is my baby 5 years later:

I HAD to add this pic of her cake ~ She had been drawing pictures of a birthday cake for weeks and they were always three or four tiers so I decided to actually get her a super fun cake. The designer of this AWESOME cake is April Goff. You GOTTA check out her cakes and get one, get two, you will not be sorry:) Halle loved it ~ it was a show stopper an delicious to boot!!!

Also a HUGE thank you to Rebecca Propes of
for designing and making such perfect decorations for my little princess. If I can pry her name banner from her hands for two seconds I will get a pic posted for everyone to see how adorable it is. Thank you, thank you , thank you!

My Fall schedule is officially booked! What??? I know, it’s crazy to think that people have given even an ounce of thought to the holidays already, but surprisingly ~ they have! In addition to having super duper “on top of it” clients, I am taking on much less than I have in the past with an itty bitty baby this year. Not to fear… I plan on being back to a full schedule again by spring, but for the rest of this year I am going to enjoy my new baby and my big babies and concentrate on making those who have booked sessions with me already amazing family photos and beautiful holiday cards. I know this might be an inconvenience to my past and potential clients that did not get the chance to book holiday sessions this year, but I know everyone will understand. And just to show how much I appreciate all of your understanding and support, I’d like to offer 50 % off session fees and printing to the next two clients that snatch up my remaining two session dates for January ~ YUP, you heard it right… HALF OFF! So don’t wait, book now!!! Email me for availability!
Also, I have a wonderful network of photographer friends and I would be happy to refer you to a list of them if you are still in need of a fantastic photographer this Fall~ Please, don’t hesitate to email me and I will send you some great sites to view.
In other news…
My baby boy is THREE MONTHS OLD!!!
I have been agonizing over getting photos taken of my little guy now that he is 3 months. I am always amazed even with him being my third baby at how fast they grow both physically and mentally. I watch him get bigger and stronger each day and though I am constantly wanting to bring out Big Bertha (my camera) and capture each and every one of his little coo’s – my house is so darn dark, it gets very frustrating not being able to get it “just right”. Well, I finally got over that little photographer part of me and the Mama in me just grabbed the camera, found a little patch of light in my dungeon of a house and was ready to take some pics of the big boy. Then, just as I was getting started… he fell asleep! That NEVER happens, but he looked so peaceful, so I clicked away ~ he’s quite the chubby monkey too – notice the little roll on his upper arm and big OL’ cheeks:) Ha, I love it!

I finally got him awake and happy so I could show off his little smile and personality. He is such a sweet baby, and it’s so neat to see the difference between him and my other two munchkins. I never dreamed that I’d be a mother, let alone a mother to THREE beautiful, healthy children and I am just LOVING every second of it!!!!

Happy 3 months Bubba!
